Also Present: Councillor Mihevc Councillor Holyday Councillor Pitfield Confirmation of MinutesOn motion by Councillor Augimeri, the Minutes of the Economic Development and Parks Committee meeting held on May 4, 2006, were confirmed. 4.1 Report of the Casa Loma Advisory Committee (Wards 21 and 22 St. Paul's)The Economic Development and Parks Committee considered the following report and communications: (i) (May 19, 2006) from the General Manager of Economic Development, Culture and Tourism, seeking endorsement of the report of the Casa Loma Advisory Committee and recommending implementation of a new vision and governance structure for Casa Loma. Recommendations: It is recommended that:
(ii) (June 5, 2006) from Dr. David Koivuranta, President, Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma; (iii) (June 8, 2006) from Anne Pashley; and (iv) (June 9, 2006) from Trelawny Howell. On motion by Councillor Mammoliti, the Economic Development and Parks Committee referred the report (May 19, 2006) from the General Manager of Economic Development, Culture and Tourism back to the General Manager for further consideration, consultation with stakeholders and other groups including the Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma, and requested him to report back to the Economic Development and Parks Committee as soon as possible. (Motion by Councillor Mammoliti which carried on the following recorded vote: FOR: Councillors Augimeri, Grimes, Hall, Lindsay Luby and Mammoliti - 5 AGAINST: Councillors Ashton, Rae and Walker - 3)On motion by Councillor Grimes, the Economic Development and Parks Committee reopened the matter to hear from speakers. The following persons, addressed the Economic Development and Parks Committee: - Ronald Kanter, Chair, Casa Loma Advisory Committee; - Richard Wozenilek, Chair, Kiwanis Club Board of Trustees (KCCL), and filed a copy of his submission; - Scott Bartle, Parkdale and High Park Rotary Club International; - Dr. David Koivuranta, President, Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma, and filed a copy of his submission and various communications in support of the Kiwanis Club of Toronto; - Virginia Cooper, Chief Executive Officer, Casa Loma; - Lou Seiler, Director of Marketing, Casa Loma, and filed a submission; - Joan Crosbie, Curator, Casa Loma; - Troy Young, Executive Director, Attractions Ontario; - Gregg Patkowski,Treasurer, Toronto Theatre Organ Society, and filed a copy of his submission; - Daniel Megly, Daniel et Daniel; - Jacquie Tilford-Clarke, The Garden Club of Toronto; - David Drew, President Elect, Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma; - Heather Horner, Vice President, Greystone Managed Investments; - Trelawny Howell; - Harold G.
